WHAT IS LOCAL IMPACT?
...An easy, no-strings-attached way to serve the community for a few
short hours. There is no sign-up...just show up! We will be serving
organizations that help the poor in the Coachella Valley, doing some
cleaning, painting, and whatever else they need us to do! Encounter will be meeting at SCC where we'll decide where we can be most effective and we will
caravan to the location. We'll be done by 11:30, perfect time to go grab some lunch together!

WHO CAN COME? Anyone! Please leave your dog at home, doesn't count as anyone ha!
WHAT TO WEAR: Bring some work gloves, gardening tools and water, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
This SATURDAY, April 18th is another opportunity to help with Local Impact. We'll again be going to the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission to paint, move boxes and demolition... that's right, I said DEMOLITION!! We need about 30 people in order to get this done and we could totally use your help. It's such a short time, but is really rewarding to see the difference you can make in two hours of work. Here is the info:

Meet us at SCC, then you’ll decide which place you want to serve and we will caravan to the locations. You will be done by 11:30, so you’ll still have the rest of your Saturday free!

This FRIDAY, April 17th we're having another Bowl-BQ! We all like to bowl and we all like BBQ, so it's safe to assume that we all like to Bowl-BQ! The BBQ starts @ 6PM and we'll bowl from 7:30PM to 9:00PM. The total cost is $10 which includes everything. If you have friends who are hesitant to check out church, this is the perfect event to bring them to. You can have fun with them and introduce them to some people at Encounter.
